What is involved in Engage Training?

Engage is a training that involves, teaching sessions, practical exercises and small group discussion. There will be time for you to ask questions as well as process the material and pray through and make plans for next steps for when the training is over. A structure of ongoing support will be set up to help you stay motivated and encouraged in your plans for passing on the faith. Our training can be delivered in a single or multi day format.

Participating in an Engage training event does not mean you have committed to a ministry with young people. EngageTraining is for adults in your church who you are interested in exploring whether this might be something they want to do. Engage training is for anyone who can answer ‘yes!’ the questions: Do you love Jesus? Do you love people? Age is not the criterion. Faith and an open life are. A 19 year-old or a 90 year-old can equally be effective. Our goal is that, at the end of the day, you will see that the ministry of discipleship is not only exciting – it is simple to do!

What is involved in Family Engage?

Family Engage is brand new! It is a two-hour training session aimed at parents, grandparents, and other family members. Ideally it will take place an evening before, or the Sunday following a Saturday Engage training day. It aims to assist families to implement simple steps to make discipleship in the home both intentional and engaging. It will include training sessions and some small group discussion time.

How can we get started?

The Engage team would love to send trainers to your diocese or church to teach the strategy! This can involved a one day training for those who want to engage with younger generations and or a shorter training for family engage. Contact us for more info.
