History

Young Anglicans Project began as an effort to pull together youth ministry leaders within the Anglican Communion Network.  We met every six months in various locations around the country discussing our common ground and exploring how we could best work together across the diversity of theological perspectives within orthodox North American Anglicanism.  After the Network gave birth to ACNA, a board was formed for YAP and our specific purpose established.  We then formed a partnership with Anglican 1000 Church Planting Initiative where we sought to help church plants strategize for youth ministry. Currently we are assisting dioceses with a strategy to initiate youth ministry in their parishes. We remain a pan-Anglican organization meaning that we represent various streams of North American Anglicans and desire to work with whomever seeks to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to teenagers.
